Game Night
The Man cub and I had a Zelda: Twilight Princess marathon last night... Well... right up until it was his bedtime.

Well... I know officially hate Howard Stern because if I have to suffer through that No talent Ass-hat one more night I think I will try out for Idol '08! I know that isn't his name... but I refuse to even dignify him with a proper name. But on a side note.... The Beat box kid is still there. I Like him and the Girl that sings the Gospel type stuff.

What a great Night!

Fun Last Night... 
I had a great time at Colleen's Birthday celebration last night.
It was great to see everyone.
I really enjoy the crowd that gets together.
I enjoy having people that I can joke with and just generally be stupid around and no one gets freaked out... well at least I don't think they do.. ;0)


...on the way to the party
I became clear that I would have to swim to my truck and then there was the "Trying to get out through our driveway after the State truck had just thrown up a mountain of sludge"... That was fun.
When we got to Rick & Colleen's Sean was at the door to make sure Zack was with us.
Zack had worn his sneakers and their driveway was about as big a pool as ours.
So a Piggyback ride later and we were in.

Once we were there...
We knew we were Wii addicts when getting ready for the party involved packing a game that Rick & Colleen didn't have yet and two extra controllers. Jessi & one of her friends had a blast playing for awhile. Then Sean (or should I say VENOM!) & Zack played just about every game imaginable.
Sean and I wrestled for awhile as I grabbed him and flipped him upside down and was carrying him out through to the Kitchen when he went still and then started Laughing... I soon figured out WHY.... as the smell drifted up to my noses... I flipped him back over and put him down and he ran in to Zack and was laughing and said... "I Farted in your Dad's face!" We were all laughing about it when he came running out and gave me "The old Pressed Ham" where he Pressed his butt cheeks up against my leg and let fly with another ripper. That Kid cracks me up!
 
after the party...
I had taken over the position of DD for the night. So when it was time to go.. we went out to find that the flood waters had receded...
But just so you know I would Look into some FEMA Money... I know I am gonna. ;0)
So we shallow waded to the truck and got in... A Loooooong five minute drive and we were rounding the only corner between our houses.
As we approached the driveway Julie Looked at me with a concerned look....
Why you ask... I wasn't slowing down.... I was in fact... picking up speed.
She grabbed hold of the dash and the door to brace for impact as I hit the snow bank blocking our drive way all "Dukes of Hazzard" style.
We were in. She was Less than impressed with my technique I will tell you... But we were home so... Inside we went.

In general... Last night was a great time. It was awesome to see everyone and the kids were tired but still great. I am looking forward to our next get together already... and I have to say I think we have successfully gotten Nicole hooked on the Wii... It is early in the infection period so it may take some time.... but she will be brought into the fold. ;0)

What a crappy Day...
Man all the Snow and crap weather! Grrrrrr!
The frickin' snow plow has been going by like ever minute or so.... well it seems like it anyway.

Fun Tonight... well we will see.
I am not sure if Rick is still gonna wanna do the get together or not... but we will see.

More Wii Madness
The man-cub and I have been working through Zelda on the Wii.... Awesome game so far... He Loves it and We have a great time playing games together. Now that I have more time for it. ;0) We now all have our own controllers with skins and every damn accessory known to man I swear... well actually not but it feels like it.
We have a good batch of games and Rick said Tiger is as awesome as we hoped it would be... so We will have that soon I am sure... and the Man-cub want the Sonic game for the Wii that came out a little while ago.

More & Less Fun than a barrel of monkeys

MORE...
We got WiiPlay & Rayman last night after Julie & Zack Picked me up at work.

It has some fun games on it.

the cow race, the Duck hunt type game, laser hockey, and of course BILLIARDS!

They all take a little getting used to the controller actions but once you get into it.

Zack was Laughing while we were playing Rayman.

when I was doing the Bunnies don't know how to close the door one he was like "...you can hear them Grunting" and he started to laugh Quite amused I will tell ya.

LESS...
We went to (not-so-much) Happy China Buffet.

I think that might possibly have been one of the worst meals I have had out in a long while.

I was joking  about it and making light of it but the food I got was either raw or burnt.

Now we had heard that the food was really good from several people... and maybe yesterday was an off day for them... But with me... a restaurant gets one chance... it is rare that I will ever eat at a place a second time if the first meal sucks. Needless to say... Happy China Buffet is dead to me. Hell even our fortune cookies sucked.

...and about those monkeys

Well... as close as I can tell....

They were the mystery meat that was undercooked and slathered in AH-SO (I just love to say that!) sauce.

I Love our new Wii... and I think the best part is the Playing "Wii-God" you can just created Miis all willy-nilly and make them as jacked up as possible... and then when you see them like playing baseball or in the background while bowling... it is kinda makes you laugh while at the same time feeling a certain amount of power.... because if that Mii gets on your bad side.... Oooooh he can be deleted! Yes... yes he can... and I think he knows it. these are the things I think about.

A Wii bit Sore!

...and so it begins

Had an awesome time at Rick & Colleen's  Sat night!

Playing the Wii was so good I was glad that we had decided to get one for ourselves earlier in the day! :0)

We had a blast as we always do when we are over. Sean was a riot... I wish Zack had been there to play with him they would have had a ball.

 

...but it's just a Wii
Wooooooah.

I played more than my fair share of the wii Saturday night & Sunday...

And I must admit... there is some soreness in muscles I forgot I had.

It really is almost comical.

I am sooooooooooooo Glad that we got he wii though!

The Man-cub and I had an awesome time playing Zelda last night. 
 

"Day Light Savings" my butt!
This morning I was not super impressed with this whole "Daylight Savings" thing.

I laid in bed for an extra ten minutes staring at the ceiling thinking of the many different way with which I would slowly torture it's inventor for the entire sixty minutes that we "Saved"! 

 

So like I said... extra ten minutes in bed from what I regularly would spend and when I got up I felt incredibly rushed. Like Panicky rushed...

and ya know that really is quite strange when you consider that I am into work an hour early... So I have a little bit of wiggle room I must say. ;0P

Time to work

Well... it looks as if the time change had some effect on stuff so I need to check in and see if anything needs looking into. See how things went over the weekend and all.

Tired but Happy...
Well I am in early and since I didn't blog Last night I figured I would really quick... That is the beauty of having it set up to do Via email! ;0P

I have had a great first week.

Alot to do and alot to learn that is specific to Trucking.

Rick has been awesome... I can ask trucking questions so I get a feel for the lingo and the process and also get an inside on how the place runs... from like the human part... who deals with who... put faces to jobs kinda thing

Reading the dictionary...
Well the first week has been a combination of a few things... being a detective, and "Reading the Dictionary". 

Well Not the "Dictionary" dictionary... but when you spend the better part of your day reading code and looking through Databases.... It is kinda Dry reading to say the very least.

I am enjoying the job though.

A Good day.

The Basics...
Today was a great first day.
I met just about everyone.... No way I remember 3/4 of the names at the moment... but I will...
I set up all my accounts and began sorting through all of the stuff that was done Pre-Me to see if I could get my head around what he had in place... so i can support it firstly and streamline it secondly (in time that is)
ALOT to go through.
I dropped of some gear at the shop so I could pop in and say hey to Rick.... Both of us got busy and didn't get a chance to grab a coffee in the morning.
Rick came Through for me again and made sure I got A nice Hartt Coffee mug and Hat which my Son Happily has Laid claim to.
and as the three of you that actually read this know... Rick Has been feeling a small amount of guilt... (not really the word I want but you all know what I mean) That he couldn't give me a ride home my first day.... It actually worked out pretty cool bub so no worries..... The better Half and The Man-cub came in to the office so I introduced them to Jim and Mary.... Everyone else had skun out already cuz it was after 5.  ;0p
Not to mention I showed them around my pretty damn cool office  :0D
It is nice to have a place that I was happy to bring them in... Jim was really Friendly and The better-half even mentioned that he seemed genuinely nice and friendly.... Something I am NOT used to dealing with.

Gettin' Ready

Gettin' Prepped...
I am getting everything together so I Will be all set to wake up in the morning and Jump in the shower and grab some grub and go.... well I suppose I will take the time to get dressed in there as well.

I am really excited to get started tomorrow.
I think I am going to enjoy work again.

Free at last... I am Free at last!
Quit today.
I have never felt better.

Well THAT made it all worth it!
The look on my boss' face when I handed him all of my stuff and said "I quit"
He asked me ".... Are you sure?"  like twenty five times & looked like he was going to vomit. One of the guys from the office typed me up an email and said that my Boss & His boss were standing in my office looking around and my boss was shaking and his boss was Like "So..., I get Left Looking like a prick?" There is alot behind that which I am sure I will get to over a beverage or three Saturday.

A new beginning
Monday I will be  starting the new job and I can not wait. i picked up some current scripting books. The ones I had were Old and I don't want to get back up to speed with things that are outdated for reference material.
I need to get my order together for the Tattoo rig.

In general... I couldn't be happier or more excited to start a new job. I have found interest in the chance to sit and wrestle my way through some code or sift through a database, work on all those geeky thing I used to love before The hospital politics beat it out of me.

What all the Hub-bub is about...
I got Offered the job today.
When I got that call... I was SO Happy I almost Lost track of where I was.

Monday is an all new game!
Well... I will be starting fresh on Monday.... Jim asked if i needed to give a notice (He said earlier he needed me as of yesterday... but would understand if i needed to) I said I need today (Thursday) to clean out my desk and tomorrow (Friday.. if you hadn't guessed from the whole Thursday thing back there) to turn over my projects and turn in my pager and badge... and Monday I would be ready for work... just tell me when to be there.

Life is awesome... I have an incredible Wife, Awesome Son, wonderful friends, and A Job that I can be Happy to have that keeps me near my Family! I am incredibly Blessed!
